Payment does not cause progress. Compare the features and access you need for your own recordkeeping.
Free download versus included features
Check whether routine creation, history, charts and export have separate limits. Try the required workflow before deciding to pay.
A longer history has a specific use
Older entries can support a longer comparison when the exercises and conventions match. More chart data does not make the interpretation automatically correct.
Avoid universal value claims
Prices differ by offer and region. Weights Premium documents full history and additional statistics; whether that is useful depends on your own review needs.
Compare the same task in each tier
Make a small checklist using your own requirements: create a routine, record a custom movement, review an older session, and open the statistics you actually use. Mark each item as available, restricted or unclear after checking the current app. This produces a more useful comparison than counting features with unrelated names. In Weights, Premium adds full history and additional statistics; verify the specific available ranges in the app.
Consider the review you will need later
A free tier may be enough for entering today’s workout while a longer historical view matters after several months. Decide whether you need that view before assessing value. Keep the listed price separate from trial length, renewal period and regional offers. An outbound App Store link does not itself establish the price you will be offered. If you cannot verify a boundary, label it unknown rather than treating it as free or included.
