YOUR ROUTINE. YOUR RECORD.

Track home and dumbbell workouts

Keep a clear home workout log with consistent dumbbell weights, custom exercise names and notes about your available equipment.

Weights supports saved routines, custom exercises and notes for the workouts you choose to do at home. The most useful first step is to decide how you will record dumbbell weights and keep that convention consistent.

Build around the equipment you actually use

Create a routine with the exercises in your own home plan. Give variations names you can recognize later: a supported dumbbell row is more specific than “back exercise.” Custom exercises can identify a movement missing from your usual list. Do not interpret the ability to create an exercise as guidance on whether it is appropriate for you.

Choose one dumbbell convention

Two 15 kg dumbbells can be described as 15 kg per hand or 30 kg combined. Either record is ambiguous without a convention. Write a note and keep the same convention across comparable sessions. If you change conventions, document the date. Otherwise your recorded load may appear to double even though the equipment did not change.

Make unilateral results understandable

For a one-arm movement, decide how to distinguish left and right results when they differ. Clear exercise names or notes can preserve that distinction without implying the app automatically tracks sides. Record the repetitions that happened. Avoid silently combining two sides into a new rep count and then comparing it with older single-side entries.

Keep substitutions visible

A changed bench angle, a different dumbbell setting or a temporary exercise substitution can alter the meaning of a record. Add the detail at the time rather than trying to reconstruct it next month. Weights provides logging and history; this page does not promise equipment-aware workout generation, automatic rep counting or a home-training prescription.

Common questions

Should I enter one dumbbell or both?

Choose a consistent convention and write it in your notes. Check the exercise context; this page does not claim the app automatically doubles dumbbell loads.

Can it create a home program for me?

This page describes organizing and logging a routine you already choose. It does not promise automated coaching.
